Denzel Washington covers the August issue of Ebony magazine with his wife of 30 years Pauletta. The couple opened up about how they’ve managed to stay married for so long in Hollywood which is known for its quickie marriages and even quicker divorces.
“I live with this man. I see the down part. I see the sad part. I see every part,” Pauletta shared. “He has and knows he has that stability in me as his wife. That gives him strength, regardless of if he misuses it. I can’t dwell on that. But I do know that gives him a great platform to go and fly.”
Denzel’s next film will be The Equalizer in which the 58-year-old actor plays a retired covert operative who, puts a classified ad in the paper that reads: “Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer.” He ends up helping a young hooker and tangles with the Russian mob and a brutal fixer.
The Equalizer hits theaters September 26, 2014 but before that you can catch Denzel along with Mark Wahlberg in 2GUNS when it hits theaters on August 2, 2013.
